You Have the Right to Remain Silent. Yeah, Right! It's JAIL N' BAIL Time!



Yes, you heard me folks.
 
April 20th is looming on the horizon,
and your date with destiny (err...court) is coming.
 
It's time to gather up your friends, bosses,
innocent children, and random strangers.
 
Why? Well, to have them arrested
by one of our deputies and dragged into the
slammer where they'll be tormented by horrible
jokes, silly banter, and live music at
 
Their only escape?
The prisoner has to bribe, weedle, coerce, or beg
$5,000L from friends, family, and the general public
in order to post bail.
 
Be warned, however, because revenge is sweet.
Especially, when Sheriffs CC, Shea, and Leala
are on hand and all to happy to collect that $750L
to arrest You on some trumped up charge!
 
And forget your legal rights.
I speak from experience;
I still don't know what I did last year to end up in jail!
 

Here are the rules.

  • Your Sheriffs will be: CC, Shea, and Leala
  • You can post warrants for others to be arrested that do not work at Quasar.
  • Put out a warrant for someone other than staff:  750 L per person
  • 1st Bond is set at :  5000 L per person
  • You may not post bond for yourself but can for each other or a friend.
  • You can be re-arrested if your friends feel you too bad to be set free!!
  • To Raise bond, IM all your friends until they donate enough to get you free.
  • Re Arrest will cost the person requesting it :  1000 L
  • 2nd Bond will be set at :  2500 L per person
  • There is no limit to the times you can be rearrested!!!!!!!
  • All fees for arrests and bails will be paid directly to the Relay for Life Kiosk located at the jail.  
TO HAVE SOMEONE ARRESTED:
  • If you fill out the form below before April 17th and turn it back in to Leala Spire or SheaJane Carami, you and the person you are having arrested will receive a texture warrant and WANTED poster if headshot is included.
  • To have someone arrested the day of the event, see one of the Team Leaders to get form or fill out form during the event and turn in.
  • No warrants or wanted posters will be available to those who sign up after the 17th.

FEES MUST BE PAID AT THE SHERIFF'S TABLE (or to Leala or Shea for those signing up early) AND YOU MUST LET ONE OF THE SHERIFF'S OR JAIL GUARDS KNOW BEFORE PAYING ANY FEES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2 DJ failure to play request
3 TPing someone in on someone else head
4 Too much Bling
5  Wearing noisy shoes
6 In SL over 60 day and looking like newbie
7 Over use of Gestures  aka Gesture-bating
8 Corrects Typos  (we are all human in real)
9 Whining to excessively (and without cheese)
10 Excessive displays of affection ( aka sicken couples)
11 AFK to much (could wear title King or Queen of AFK)
12 Blinding others with the power of the Sun (aka FaceLight)
13 Plowing others over after landing
14 Sore Loser/Winner in Greedy
15 To much junk in trunk/ cups overflow
16 Out of Control Physics
17 Sexy and you know it

Why Leala Relays for Life

Why does team captain Leala Spire gather her energy and tackle the pressures of organizing a successful Relay for Life campaign every year?

2013 is her seventh year participating in Second Life's Relay for Life drive and her third year as a team captain! Let's find out.

Team Captain Leala Spire shares her story:I have experienced what the words "it's cancer" does to a family.

I have sat by the bed of the man who I thought could do anything, including beat cancer. I lost that man, my Dad, in July 2005.

I have celebrated with my Mom at beating cancer, near 20 years ago. This January, as the new year started, I looked at her and said, "don't worry it's gonna be ok" when she heard the cancer was back.

I've lost Aunts, Uncles, Brothers-in-law, and my Mother-in-law to the monster we know as cancer.

It is for them that I relay. To honor them. To remember them. To keep fighting for them.


I also relay for another reason. Beautiful nieces and handsome nephews whom I relay and fight for so that they never hear the word "Cancer" when it comes to them without knowing that it is going to be OK.

I want them to know, there is a cure.

I want to help make the fear, sadness, loss, and pain that is now tied to the word cancer Disappear Forever!!!

We thought long and hard about a fun and exciting Convio Challenge. 
One that would be fun and doable for both small teams and large, old teams and new. 
Convio is such a cool tool because it lets us reach outside SL to our family, friends, co-workers and let them join us in our Relay.  We work hard every year to raise as much as we can.  We proudly proclaim our fundraising total each year.. and boast that we’ll beat it next year.  We hug and praise each other in excitement when we reach our goals.  So, read the attached notecard which describes the 2013 Convio Challenge and ways that you can add more lindens to your team fundraising totals which consequently will add lots more to our ONE TEAM total and our crusade to work together to Finish the Fight!

!! Cumulative Linden Awards to Relay Team Totals!!
Ten levels to the Challenge!
------------------- The 2013 CONVIO CHALLENGE  -------------------
BY KICK OFF: (March 9)
  1. First 25 teams who have registered on convio receives 1000L credited to their team.
  2. First 10 teams who have received at least FIVE convio transactions of $20 or more EACH receive 5000L bonus credited to their team.
  3. First 10 teams who show TEN convio transactions of $30 or more EACH receive 10,000L bonus credited to their team.
  4. First 5 teams who show a convio balance of at least $500 receives 25,000L bonus credited to their team.
BY HALFWAY THERE FAIR (May 18):
  1. Top five teams who have the highest number of convio transactions of $10 or more (unique donors) receive 5000L bonus credited to their team.
  2. First 5 teams showing a convio balance of $750 or more receive an additional 25,000L bonus credited to their team.
BIRTHDAY BLITZ (May 21):
 
  1. If at least 100 teams are registered on Convio, all of them get L$1000.
  2. Birthday Bonus Blitz: If those teams have a greater than $10 balance - they all receive another L$1000.
BY RELAY WEEKEND (July 13):
  1. Teams who have won:
  • Kickoff Registration Challenge (challenge #1).
  • At least 1 Kickoff Fundraising Challenge
  • At least 1 of the Halfway There Fair Challenges
  • And have INCREASED their convio total raised since the Birthday Blitz payout (by at least $50)
….will each receive L$10,000 bonus credited to their team total.
**First 5 teams showing a convio balance of $1,501 or more
receive an additional 50,000L bonus credited to their team.**

Opening Ceremonies Re-cap

Inspired Dreamwalkers' float at RFL's Opening Ceremony.
 
I opened up my in-box yesterday to find this group notice from our intrepid leader, Leala Spire, and had to share the re-cap of the Inspired Dreamwalkers' activities at Relay for Life's Opening Ceremony.

Couldn't head to bed without tell you guys how incredible today was. To have so many of you at opening ceremonies... then even at tonight's event. So many of you have been putting out kiosks and getting donations. It's awesome!!

This is one captain going to bed knowing she has the most fantastic group of people on her team anywhere in SL!!!

Our first day total is..... 56,372 L :)

Savannah Coronet LIVE @ Quasar on March 9th!


Come on out for an AWESOME night of great music and fundraising with Avi Choice 2011 & 2012 Favorite Country Singer, Savannah Coronet.
She will perform at Quasar Country on March 9th at 8pm, to benefit Relay For Life. 
 
Savannah has been performing live in Second Life since the end of 2008. She covers tunes from lots of genres, but her heart and soul is COUNTRY MUSIC.  A Texas born, South Carolina raised girl, she grew up listening to that sweet Country and Southern Rock music. She started singing in her early teens covering Patsy Cline tunes for school functions and area festivals! Now, she lives her dream here in Second Life singing for the best fans in the world!

The Inspired Dreamwalkers' 2013 RFL Kick-off Party
was held at Captain Leala Spire's home on February 24th.
 
Wow! What an awesome turn out!
 
With photographer Alexia Gaelyth having texture refresh issues and occasionally moving people's poses a little too close for comfort (again, I apologize to the gentleman who temporarily ended up under my skirt, but hey, alpha layers!), Leala stepped in and snapped a shot of our crew.

Here is what it requires: Someone who can keep in touch with the other team leaders & the team as a hold through notices & IMs. Has a few hours at least 2 to 3 Saturdays and/or Sundays from March to July.
